Technical Director and Co-Founder

Colin is an experienced and highly competent Senior Electronics Design Engineer with over 25 years experience in the commercial electronic engineering sector; and 10 years lecturing experience to HND & degree level students in the fields of Microelectronics and Electronic Music Technology. For the past 10 years Colin has successfully operated and run his own companies supplying micro-electronic project design services to commercial and industrial customers including Motorola, Invensys, Hoover, Electrolux, Vent Axia Fans, TRW Transportation Electronics, Saint Gobain, and Hydralectric Appliance Controls. His. designs also included several Electronic Control Units (ECU’s) for Jaguar and Rover cars.

In 1999 his company secured accredited consultants status to MOTOROLA Semiconductors (now ‘Freescale Semiconductors’) and also holds ‘MASTER’ accreditation status as consultants to ARIZONA MICROCHIP INC, and in 2000, were commissioned by Motorola Semiconductors to produce a world first ‘reference’ design (DRM001) for them, followed two years later by a second.

Colin’s expertise extends far beyond microelectronics, has he is also an expert in old tube (valve) technology and high voltage power supplies which is still used today in audio and guitar amplification systems. His passion and innovation for engineering improvements has generated the foundation for many new product developments.
